| Position Description |
We invite applicants for a postdoctoral fellow position in Albers lab within the Harvard Program in Therapeutic Science at Harvard Medical School in Boston Massachusetts. The work of the Albers lab is focused on mechanisms and therapeutic development of neurodegenerative diseases, including Alzheimer’s disease . We welcome applications from recent PhD graduates who are interested in these or related fields, particularly those who may bring a new technology or perspective to bear on the work in the lab. The successful candidate will have expertise in pharmacological studies of differentiated human neural cells and the mechanisms of action of TYK2 in the context to neurodegenerative disease. The successful candidate will work with Dr. Albers to develop an independent research project within the scope of the lab’s research focus. In addition to carrying out bench research, the successful candidate will be expected to apply for fellowship funding, contribute to the writing of grants and manuscripts, participate in teaching and mentoring of lab members as needed, and otherwise contribute to overall lab operations and collaborative environment.

| Basic Qualifications |
- Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. in areas such as Medical Sciences with a particular focus on Neuroscience or related fields
- Expertise in generation of stable human neural cell lines to serve as models of age-related neurodegenerative disease.
