Job Summary

This is a part time position consisting of four 8/hr Evening shifts a week. 1pm - 9pm is the shift and scheduled days will be Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.

Psychiatric triage for all levels of care across on-site and off-site units, affiliated facilities, Partners institutions, and capitated contracts. Serves as a resource and educator for evaluating clinicians regarding payer requirements and precertification processes.

Essential Functions:
- Conducts comprehensive bed and service searches for Partners facilities following established triage procedures.
- Interviews patients, family members, and referring professionals to gather clinical and demographic information in order to determine appropriate evaluation and/or admission needs.
- Monitors and reassesses census and bed availability on an ongoing basis.
- Completes financial screenings in accordance with departmental procedures.
- Accurately enters patient information and ADT transactions into the EPIC system.
- Completes all required admission documentation.
- Collaborates professionally and effectively with hospital and departmental staff.
- Maintains patient and departmental confidentiality while supporting efficient department operations.


Qualifications

Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent required and Associate's Degree Business Administration preferred or Associate's Degree Related Field of Study preferred

Licenses and Credentials

Experience
Experience in an administrative role, preferably in a psychiatric, behavioral health, or healthcare setting 2-3 years required

- Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
